Introduction

Makeup has a magical quality. It brings to mind of being a real life Barbie doll; going to glamorous events. The magic of makeup is more powerful than ever. For most women, makeup application should be subtle. The main objective is to emphasize your most attractive facial features while minimizing those features that are less attractive.

There is no fixed pattern for applying makeup; application varies from woman to woman, based on her face and individual needs/desires. When applying makeup, you must take into cosideration the structure of your face; the color of your eyes, skin, and hair; how you want to look; and the results you can realistically achieve. You will be better equipped to make use of cosmetics when you have learned the chemical composition and preperations of cosmetics. Once you know these basics, you can use makeup to create optical illusions with shadowing, highlighting, and color. Your natural beauty can be enhanced by the blendings of facial makeup, hairstyle, and clothing colors.
